JRS Inspection Services specializes in the area of in-service safety inspections of
-Concrete Local Agency and Private Bridges and Docks: (prestressed, reinforced concrete, masonry)
-Steel (through trusses, deck trusses, deck arches, girders, and orthotropic)
-Timber (solid sawn and laminated girders, stringers, beams, piles, and columns)
Inspection techniques include visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) using magnetic particle, and Dye Penetrant testing for steel, sounding for concrete, and sounding and resistograph testing for timber decay.
Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector (OR CBI # 02010) with nearly 44 years of experience as an engineer and 35 years as an In-service Bridge and Tunnel Inspector.
Experience as a Lead Bridge and Tunnel Inspector, including nearly 3,000 steel, concrete, and timber bridges, 15 tunnels, and numerous culverts and minor structures throughout Oregon.
